Unable to locate ds9object on load path

I have managed to install isis without a problem but have not been able to
locate ds9 from within isis

isis> require("ds9");
Unable to locate ds9 on load path
0


I also get the same error when trying to run ./aeattcor.sl --ds9  or
pile_estimate.sl

any help would be much appreciated.
