Here is an overview of the first stage of AXAF grating data processing, with emphasis on HETG/ACIS-S, using data from the ground calibration at XRCF.

AXAF Dispersive Spectroscopy Pipeline Overview --- a presentation for the 3rd HEAD Coordinating Committee meeting, 11 December, 1998. This document describes the pipeline processing for the grating instruments, with examples of data output by the tools for an HETG/ACIS-S simulation.

AXAF Transmission Grating Data Processing How-To (Level 1.5, Level 2)
A guide to running the ASCDS grating software on MARX output. This currently (6 Dec 1998) contains instructions for HETG/ACIS-S. HRC will be added.
