Research Interests:
X-ray imaging and spectroscopy of
active galactic nuclei and quasars
modelled with accretion disks around supermassive black holes
Polarization of X-rays from active galaxies
and neutron stars
and the design of an instrument to measure polarization to 1-3%
(IXPE web site) and
(my design) for
a broad-band, soft X-ray polarimeter.
Hot neutron star atmospheres and X-ray bursts from them
