Manan Agarwal is a TESS Research Assistant working with Dr Michael Fausnaugh and Dr George Ricker. His research interests broadly lie at the interface of time-domain astronomy and machine learning. His work focuses on developing data analysis algorithms and pipelines for studying variable stars with TESS data. Before starting at MIT, he received his B.E. in Computer Science and M.Sc. in Physics from Birla Institute Of Technology And Science (BITS) Pilani in India, where he worked on Open Clusters and Blue Straggler Stars using Gaia data. Manan also enjoys public outreach, stargazing and making astronomy more inclusive.
