I'm a Research Scientist at the MIT Center for Space Research. I work in the Chandra X-ray Observatory Science Center (CXC) as a member of the High Energy Transmission Grating group (HETG).

As part of my work for the CXC, I wrote ISIS, which is a programmable, extensible data analysis package for spectroscopy. Although originally intended to support analysis of high resolution X-ray spectra from Chandra, it is capable of handling a wide range of data analysis tasks and has been used to analyze data from other X-ray satellites (Chandra, XMM, ASCA, RXTE, Rosat, Suzaku) and from other wavebands (radio, optical, gamma-ray). I maintain a list of published papers using ISIS.
