breaking isis when fitting

Sometimes ISIS spins for a long time while fitting data, e.g., using the subplex
method. I'm sure it's all doing fine, but I want to break it and stop the fit
process. Unfortunately, CTRL-C doesn't work. (I assume it's down in some C
library that is not interested in CTRL-C?)

I can use CTRL-\, but that kills the entire ISIS process, and then I have to
start everything over.

Is there a good way to break during a fit? I'm still using old version 1.3.0,
so maybe later versions have improved handling.

Thanks,
Rob
