After the assign, you have the histogram defined, but it may be all
zeroes.  If you execute fakeit, the model will be evaluated and noise
added (and background added if defined). So it looks just like data
and you can then fit it and treat it just like an observation.  If you
don't want it overwritten by another fakeit(), you can use the
set_fake() function to toggle a flag.

I use an arf and rmf and fakeit all the time for simulations.
