I tried this:

isis> b1 = region_flux (1, (0.5,9.8));  
isis> print (b1);                     
    min = 0.5
    max = 9.8
    sum = 0
    sum_err = 109
    net = 0
    net_err = 109
    centroid = 0
    centroid_err = 1384.86
    eqwidth = 0
    eqwidth_err = 0
    contin = 0
    slope = 0
    nbins = 109

since I only have one dataset read in.  Isis does not recognize
the name of my data file:

isis> b1 = region_flux (id105.pha, (0.5,9.8));
S-Lang Error: Undefined Name: id105 is undefined
