pgplot labels going missing

Hello All-

This is a question on behalf of a new ISIS user, Mainpal from IUCAA.

He's having an issue where the plot labels in the PGPLOT window don't
show up. This is true when using the ISIS plotting routines, e.g.,
plot_data_counts, my plotting routines, or even something simple like:

	xlabel("X"); ylabel("Y"); plot([0:10],[0:10]);

XSPEC, on the other hand, does show plot labels when run on its own.

I have a recollection of others in the deep, dark past running into a
similar problem with pgplot in their ISIS builds. Anyone out there
remember similar occurrences?

If anyone can suggest some likely issues to test, we'd be grateful.

My best suggestion so far is to try and rebuild ISIS via:

	./configure --with-headas=$HEADAS

using $HEADAS from the known working version of HEASOFT,
and see if the problem goes away. But if there are other diagnostics
to suggest, we're all ears.

Thanks,

Mike
