You might just try a normal install with g95. If the regression
tests run successfully then it's probably ok.

Otherwise, you might try building isis with the xspec module
statically linked.  To do that, configure isis with:

   ./configure ... --with-headas=$HEADAS \
                   --with-xspec-static

If this still doesn't work, then it will probably be necessary
to build both xspec and isis with gfortran.  It's important
that the same, matching C and Fortran compiler be used to build
both.
