For some reason, the libraries listed on the compile line are
inconsistent. You're using gcc, but the libraries are
for the Sun cc compiler:
  -L/opt/SUNWspro/lib -lF77 -lM77 -lsunmath
Also, since there's a reference to G77_getenv_0, it looks like
PGPLOT was compiled with g77 and not the Sun Fortran compiler.

I think most of the undefined references are symbols which are
defined in the GNU library libg2c (which is appropriate if
you're using gcc+g77, unless you're using gcc-3.0.x).

Its probably best to use the same C and F77 compilers for
everything (isis, pgplot, cfitsio, slang, etc.)

The simplest solution might be to delete 'config.cache' and
re-run configure. Does configure give any error messages?
Also, could you send me a copy of your config.status file?

Thanks,

John
