Hi Gulab, gulabd_at_email.domain.hidden> ISIS 1.4.9-30 is not able to load the new xspec12 models available with xspec 12.5.0a (heasoft 6.6). After compiling ISIS, the "make check" command results in the following error. > > failed loading diskir/diskir > failed loading kerrdisk/spin > *** Failed parsing line: '$specfile 1200' > make[1]: *** [check] Error 1 > make[1]: Leaving directory `/soft/isis-1.4.9-30/test' > make: *** [check] Error 2 > > require("xspec") results in the same error. Any ideas? > I'm not sure if this is related to your problem, but I once had a problem in ISIS with a local model (compiled agains HEADAS 6.3 or so) that worked with xspec. The solution was that the file lmodel.dat with the parameter definitions (Could this be $specfile?) contained an unusual separator (probably a comma or quotation marks... sorry, I don't remember exactly), which were accepted by xspec in a more sloppy way.
