Hi, I have been playing with Dave Huenemoerder's nice he_modifier functions, which work fine, and I was curious to test it with various ratios of H- to He-like ion abundances as they should have some effect on the triplet ratios. So I tried to follow the create_aped_fun instructions to influence the ion population with a modifier (example 7 in the help), but the example provides not quite enough information. It looks like all I have to do is return an array with the new ion population, where newionpop[1,0] = neutral Hydorgen newionpop[1,1] = bare Hydrogen newionpop[36,36] = bare Krypton and the sum of the ion fractions should equal 1.0 for each element. Or at least that is what the output of ion_bal seems to suggest. However, I get the following error when I try to evaluate the model: Not Found: Z=0 q=-1 continuum for T=1e+07 K, n=1 cm^-3 Failed: computing model spectrum Does anyone have some experience with the ionpop modifier or a suggestion how to make it work? Attached is a minimum example I've been trying to fix and the corresponding isis error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
