Thanks for the info. If you don't think it will work, do you have any 
suggestions. All I really want is to just extend the continuum fit I have 
already done to the data to cover a larger region.


Also. John are you sure that that script worked for you. I even changed out 
the rmf and arf for the test data to see if that would make a difference and I 
get no change. It essentially brings up a plot with axis but no actual lines.
