I did not mean to suggest that this list serve as a forum for the isis
development committee (IDC), but I can see how one might reach that
conclusion.  Rather, I was was addressing the question of feature
requests.  I think that all feature requests should be made
here because of several reasons:

   1.  The feature might already exist
   2.  There may be another way of accomplishing the same thing via a
       user-defined function.
   3.  The feature may be fundamentally flawed in some way that is not
       obvious to any one person.
   4.  It frees up some of John's time.

Of course whether or not a feature makes it into isis and on what
time-scale are decisions that will be made by the IDC.  Furthermore,
I do not mean to suggest that if a new feature is proposed during the
course of an IDC meeting, that it also be discussed here before
implementation.
