This is a 2-person office - Duncan Galloway occupies half of it and the other half of it will now be for visitors coming to CSR. Please note the new office can only accommodate one visitor at a time. To review the policies and procedures regarding the use of the CSR Visitors' Office, 37-626B: 1) The office is for use by CSR visitors including post-docs, research scientists and faculty who are here on "official business". 2) There is a sign up calendar on the door to the visitors' office. Please sign up by including your name (host) and the name of your visitor. 3) Jackie would like to be informed of any visitors who will be using the office for more than 3 days. Just send an email to Jackie ( jhewitt@space.mit.edu ) and copy me, aph@space) indicating your name (host), visitor's name, dates of visit and reason for visit. This is so the director's office is aware of the visitor and also so that I can make sure they have the appropriate keys (office, 6th floor area, building 37 door). Thanks very much. Sincerely, Arlyn - - - Date: Fri, 13 Sep 2002 15:56:03 -0400 To: aph From: Arlyn Hertz Subject: CSR Visitors webpage Status: R Content-Length: 1369 Jackie has asked me to set up a webpage as part of the CSR Website that gives information about current and upcoming visitors to CSR. We would like to include their name, dates of visit to CSR, location at CSR, who is hosting the visitor, and a little bit about the purpose of their visit plus some bio information on each visitor. The bio information could be a link to their homepage. I would like to know about all visitors, short and long term.....ie/ astro colloquium speakers just here for a day or two to long term visitors here on sabbatical, visitors located in building 37, NE80 and NW17. To gather and organize the information I am asking all hosts to please email me information about their visitors. At this point I'd like any info on the following people plus any I might not know about. Having this website will provide for greater awareness of visitors and thus more interactions between the visitors and the csr community. Thanks everyone. Danielle Noonan has the form and handles these appointments so please see her as soon as you know you will be hosting a visitor staying for 7 days or more. PRIOR EMAIL SENT: I just wanted to make people aware of the policies and procedures regarding the use of the CSR Visitors' Office, 37-664C. This office (when completely "outfitted" by the end of April) will accommodate two visitors and have two computers and two telephones. 1) The office is for use by CSR visitors including post-docs, research scientists and faculty who are here on "official business". 2) There is a sign up calendar (through December 2002) on the door to the visitors' office. Please sign up by including your name (host) and the name of your visitor. 3) Jackie would like to be informed of any visitors who will be using the office for more than 3 days. Just send an email to Jackie (Hewitt@space and copy me, aph@space) indicating your name (host), visitor's name, dates of visit and reason for visit. This is so the director's office is aware of the visitor and also so that I can make sure they have the appropriate keys (office, 6th floor area, building 37 door). Thanks very much. Arlyn - - - - -
