(In order to justify my answer to his off-topic question...) ;-) Mike wrote: > Actually, you've found me right now programming up a simple script to > rename the "gauss" function to the names of pre-specified lines > (e.g., Ne9r, Ne9i, Nef), and then sort them into ascending wavelength > order in your fit function. (Manfred - I'm sure you'll tell me that > you've already done this.) Well, I have the "lines" model (which you, as you will remember, have already used!), which comes with some associated functions (like list_all_lines, etc.) that should help identifying and defining lines. They do wavelength sorting, too, but they're maybe not in the best shape, as they originate from my early days with ISIS. Mike will know what that means, as he has only recently rewritten his plot functions, which previously also dated back a good amount of time... ;-) But they do work, so here's the link, if somebody is interested: http://www.sternwarte.uni-erlangen.de/git.public/?p=isisscripts;a=blob;f=src/fitting/fit-functions/lines/lines.sl;hb=HEAD (There's a couple of requirements of other functions from our collection of ISIS scripts that reside in this repository.)
