What compiler versions did you use to build isis?
In particular, what output does this produce:
  gcc --version
  gfortran --version

Did you use the same compilers to build heasoft?

Also, please send me a copy of the files 'config.status' and
'config.log' that were created when you ran the isis configure
script.
