Hello, I am attempting to use the ISIS function "add_atable_model", and am having difficulty altering the normalization of the additive table model with either the renorm_counts command or fit_counts. I am also using the pileup model; here is what I've been doing: import("xspec"); set_kernel(1,"pileup"); ()= load_data("X5_205bin_grp_noecl.pi"); add_atable_model("NS_H_14.38.fits", "NS", ["T", "z","norm"]); fit_fun("phabs(1) * NS(1)"); list_par; phabs(1) * NS(1) idx param tie-to freeze value min max 1 phabs(1).nH 0 0 0.5142989 0 1000 2 NS(1).T 0 0 5.924939 5.9 6.3 3 NS(1).z 0 0 0.8267264 0 1 4 NS(1).norm 0 0 2e-07 0 0.1 5 pileup<1>.nregions 0 1 1 1 10 6 pileup<1>.g0 0 1 1 0 1 7 pileup<1>.alpha 0 0 0.1202999 0 1 8 pileup<1>.psffrac 0 1 0.95 0 1 ()=fit_counts; Parameters[Variable] = 8[5] Data bins = 36 Chi-square = 774.9 Reduced chi-square = 25 Overplotting the model shows that the normalization is far too high, yet using this model in XSPEC gives normalizations around 3e-3. There are no problems using a blackbody model in place of the NS model. I will send the additive table model I'm using (and data) to anyone who wants to check this problem.
