Ed's 10-minute talk strategy (3/23/06)

Determine the 2 things you want your audience to get out of your talk.

Slide 2 lists them.

Slides 3 and 4 present the first issue.

Slides 5 and 6 present the second issue.

Slide 7 comments on how this is related to other work (if appropriate).

Slide 8 briefly lists future work.

Each slide should have no more than 8 lines (including equations).

For journal club talks, slide 8 might be used for some other purpose.
