On August 5 2012, our very closest family and friends gathered at our house in Winchester.
We rejoiced at seeing Meia's divorced parents Gheorghe and Elvira smile together...
...and my Dad reunited with his sisters Lillian and Doris after two decades.
In fine Transylvanian tradition, I was banned from seeing Meia all morning
by her vigilant Mom...
...and her ferocious sister Dana who zealously stood guard...
...while my brother Per tried to get in touch with his inner paparazzi.
Finally, she emerged from our house, escorted by her Dad to the
"tah-tah-tah-taaaah" or Wagner's Bridal Chorus.
With Wedge Pond behind us and all our guests in front of us on our backyard deck,
our friend Shevaun began officiating the wedding.
"Do you, Max Tegmark, take Mihaela Chita to be your lawful wedded wife, to
love, honor and cherish `til death does you part?"
"That's a really tough question. Hmmmmmm, let me think about it for a few minutes..."
OK, we've finally decided: "Yes!"
OMG - we're married!
Our families are now officialy joined!
My Dad, Mom and Mother-in-Law partied into the night...
...with my Father-in-Law, Diana and...
...all the rest of us.
I often feel that I'm the luckiest guy on the planet, and
I'm incredibly grateful for getting to share the rest of my life with
such a wonderful woman.
