The current research in the GCRG lab may be broken up into two categorites: (1) research focused towards comissioning the initial LIGO detectors (LIGO Systems Research), and (2) research directed towards developing technologies that can aid in increasing the sensitivity of LIGO in its future incarnations (Advanced Systems Research).
