The GNU Scientific Library, or GSL, is a well-written and well-supported C library that contains a vast number of numerical routines. The GSL module described here makes many of those functions available to any application that makes use of the S-Lang interpreter through its ability to dynamically load interpreter modules. Not all slang applications support dynamically loadable modules. Those that do include slsh, which is distributed with the S-Lang library, jed, slrn, isis, as well as some of the version 3 CIAO tools.
