Parallel Computation with ISIS

ISIS supports parallel computation using two different approaches.

• Built-in support for parallel processing provides a simple, transparent way to take advantage of multi-cpu computers to speed up common model fitting tasks.

• The PVM module supports larger scale computations that can make use of a cluster or a heterogeneous network of workstations. Distributed computation of single-parameter confidence limits is one such example.
