Our Mission:
- To contribute to K-12 education in science, math and technology for all students--regardless of gender, cultural or ethnic background, or disability--by inviting them to share in the excitement and personal fulfillment that comes from understanding and learning about the natural world;
- To enhance scientific and technological literacy among the general public by engaging people's imagination, strengthening their interest in science and exploration, and promoting their understanding of science;
- To engage and coordinate the Institute's community of research scientists, engineers, and support staff to best accomplish the above goals;
- To initiate, facilitate and cultivate strong and lasting partnerships of MKI with informal education groups, and professional communities involved in science, mathematics, and technology education.
